Help Sierra Community House's hunger relief program ensure that community members have consistent access to sufficient, nutritious food while promoting overall well-being and reducing the negative impacts of food insecurity for Truckee/North Lake Tahoe.
Awesome Facts! The Sierra Community House can actually buy directly from vendors at a discount. They can purchase pennies on the dollar for what we would pay at the grocery store. Just $10 pays for 5 meals. $20 pays for 10 meals. And $50 puts 25 meals on the table for hungry people. DONATE HERE and save yourself a trip to the grocery store to help those in need - it's a twofer! What a great deal, right!
We will be collect funds starting Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, through Saturday, November 16th, 2024. Any employee who donates during that time period will receive two (2) hours of administrative leave on their November, 22nd paycheck.
The food drive is voluntary; however, we encourage you to participate, as food banks are a great resource for those in need.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping us meet our goal for Sierra Community House!
