This year we are trying something different with our support of Sierra Community House. Instead of collecting boxes of cans in a corner to load up and haul over, we will be supporting our local community this holiday season with a completely virtual food drive. These cash donations through our virtual food drive help get food into the hands of hungry children, seniors, and other individual in the North Tahoe region.
Awesome Facts! They Sierra Community House can actually buy direct from vendors at a discount. What we would pay at the grocery store they can purchase for pennies on the dollar. Yes! Just $10 pays for 5 meals. $20 pays for 10 meals. And $50 puts 25 meals on the table for hungry people. DONATE HERE and save yourself a trip to the grocery store to help those in need, it's a two-fer! What a great deal, right!
We will be collecting funds starting today Tuesday, October 17, 2023 through Saturday, November 18, 2023. Any employee that donates during that time period will receive 2 hours of administrative leave on their November, 22nd paycheck.
The food drive is voluntary; however, I encourage you to participate as food banks are a great resource for those in need. If you do participate, please contact me as you make your donation. This way we can keep track of those participating.
Your donation will go a long way to helping T-TSA meet our goal for Sierra Community House.
