Join us for an impactful evening with delicious soups made by local private chefs Meredith Miller Elliott and Scott Yorkey, Tahoe Haus fresh bread, and beautiful handcrafted ceramic bowls.

Over the past year, Sierra Community House has provided more than 300,000 meals to our North Tahoe/Truckee neighbors, but the need continues to grow!

Empty Bowls FAQ

❓ Are kids allowed?
✅ Yes! This is a kid-friendly event. We’d love to see the whole family there!

❓ Will there be vegetarian and vegan options?
✅ Yes! We have GF, vegan, and vegetarian options available. Please note that the soups are not prepared in a nut-free kitchen.

❓ Can I still buy tickets?
✅ Yes! Grab your tickets and invite your friends.

❓ Will I get a handcrafted ceramic bowl?
✅ If your ticket includes a bowl, you’ll get to choose a beautiful, handcrafted bowl made by local artists.

❓ Can I get seconds?
✅ Each ticket includes one bowl of soup. You’ll be able to sample the soups before making your selection!

❓ What if I can't make it on March 19th but already purchased tickets?
✅ Due to Snow forecasted for Wednesday, March 12th, the event will now take place on Wednesday, March 19th. If you are unable to attend, please contact aedwards@sierracommunityhouse.org.
